An Unexpected Journey
Hello and welcome back, now I know that I said I was going to have an Ansel Adams post and talk about photography, but I had to push that back because I went on an unexpected vacation down to south Texas for a week. I went with my grandparents and cousin to South Padre Island. From there we went out to different birding areas for the day. We had cool weather and we managed to see a good amount of birds! I got a lot of reference photos for prints to come and I got to explore an area I have never been before. It was also the beginning of spring and while we were there you could see tree blossoms opening and flowers starting to bloom. I tried to open my eyes while out on the trails and look for things I wouldn’t normally take an interest photographing. This past year I’ve been trying to adapt and evolve my art and photography. Part of that is focusing on the micro, It is what inspired me to start exploring the different flora and fauna that live in the different ecosystems of Texas and I wanted to continue that over to my photography. I wanted to focus less on the grandeur of the place and focus more on the individual aspects that make the place beautiful. I will talk more about this and my evolution of photography on my Ansel Adams post which will be next! Here are some of my photos from the trip and some of my favorite birds I saw.
I have a couple of updates for you before I let you go; first, I am off to another art show this weekend.
