The Lakes Region Fine Arts & Crafts Festival is one of the oldest events in the Lakes Region and is hosted by the Meredith Area Chamber of  Commerce. Held on the Main Street and amid the shops at the Mill Falls Marketplace this Festival from the beginning has attracted high quality artists and craftsmen and continues to be one of the most respected arts and crafts events in the Lakes Region.

The 80+ juried artists and craftsmen will present high quality merchandise.  Featured in the craft category will be pottery, leather, wood products, weaving, quilting, metal sculpture, jewelry, baskets, dolls, and toys.  Art work will include watercolor, oil paintings, pen and ink drawings, photography, and theorem paintings.

Musical entertainment, demonstrations and culinary delights add to the festive atmosphere as you stroll through the artisans and beautiful Meredith scenery. The show is both Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Artist reception April 15th 5-7pm

6 Bridges Gallery presents “Viewpoint,” an exhibit of recent works by our associate member artists. The exhibit will be on view at 6 Bridges Gallery, 77 Main Street, Maynard, from April 5th through May13. It will also be hosted online at 6 Bridges Gallery. A reception will be held on April 15th from 5:00–7:00 PM.

In this exhibit, Micah Bridges, Bryan Clocker, Jeanne D’Amico, Julie L’Heureux, Natalie MacKnight, and Melissa Vance Goodman showcase new bodies of work around the collective theme of “Viewpoint.” These works take on different perspectives of the environment and nature, look at the unconventional, and highlight different angles from up close to a far. Works in the exhibit include ceramics, photography, printmaking and paintings.

Come make some fun mono prints of wildlife and landscapes in this beginner level class! This class lets you explore the basics of this printmaking technique called “mono printing”. In this class we will be using ink to paint wildlife and landscapes onto a plexiglass plate, then running it through a printmaking press to reveal a print.  All materials will be provided for this class. Images will be available for you to use so you won’t have to draw. No art background required, just an interest and an open mind to exploring this wonderful and long lived tradition of printmaking!
