Summer Update
Hello all, I hope you have been enjoying your summer and been going outside and exploring! I have been busy with art shows, and exploring. With constant art shows through June and July I haven’t made a lot of new art, just been keeping up with my current inventory, but I did still manage to get some new pieces made. I’ll have a dedicated post to the making of some of them next post.
Going Back to June I had a big birthday turning 30 :O My parents took all are family out on a vacation to Maine. We spent the days exploring Mount Desert Island, and the coastline towards the North. It was a great time, the only downside was we weren’t able to do a puffin cruise because of foggy weather and choppy seas. The lupines were everywhere in full bloom, and I was lucky enough to see quite a few new birds, mostly warblers!
My Show season has been going pretty well and (knock on wood) it continues! June shows started out cold and rainy, then turned to humid and rainy. It’s been a very rainy summer up here in New England. My last show in Worcester ended with a mad dash to pack up in a crazy thunderstorm that flooded the parking lot in less than 30 minutes. Fortunately all my art stayed safe and dry. My Event page is update through October, after that I probably just have some holiday shows. I’d love to see you at one, so if one is near you come out and say hello! It’s always great to see a returning face.
I just got back on a trip to Puerto Rico. We had an amazing time there. We landed in the early afternoon. And spent the rest of the day in old San Juan, exploring the old buildings and forts. Then we drove 45 minutes east to Luquillo where we were staying. we spent our time relaxing and playing on the beaches to exploring the rain forest at El Yunque National forest. I got to see some very special birds and the forest was filled with lush greens and over 250 types of native plant species.
