Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and enjoying the fall time wherever you may be. I’m here with a fall update. I finished my art festivals in mid October and now gearing towards the Holiday season. I really enjoyed the fall season here. I got to go on many walks, and even a trip to the Catskills. On the art side I made several more mono prints, a new block print, and a big collage piece. I also have lots and lots of greeting cards now in my shop! You can purchase any card as an individual or I multiple card parks of various themes.

New Art: I have continued to practice and learn more about mono printing. These prints were mainly landscapes, and was trying to be more painterly with them. After I would print them I went back and embellished them with colored pencil for some more details. I carved a new landscape block print inspired by Maine’s landscape, and tilted after Jon Denver’s song “Sweet Surrender”. Lastly I made a new collage piece combining my great blue heron piece I made over the summer and a wallpaper design I made. First I designed the wallpaper by making a repeating pattern. I drew the design in procreate to make sure I had a good pattern with no gaps. Then I uploaded the pattern in Photoshop and filled the pattern to the size I needed. While that was done I took one of my heron prints and watercolored it, then carefully cut it out. Then I printed my wallpaper design and then with my cut out of the heron glued the heron on the wallpaper. It was a fun process and definitely a more modern take on the print.

Cards! As mentioned earlier greeting cards are in my shop! I have over 20 different designs to chose from. All the cards are very high quality printed with thick card stock on a matte finish. Shows! I have several shows and shops I will be participating in over these next two months. Starting with the Sudbury Holiday market. This Opens November 11 and is open daily til December 24th. This is a pop up store in Sudbury. The location is at the Sudbury Crossing Plaza by TJ MAXX, 435 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA. I will also Have art at 6 bridges Gallery for their holiday market. They are located off of Main ST in down town Maynard. I will be at the Eustis Estate Holiday Market November 19 10-4. I will be teaching a christmas card block printing class December 3rd through Arts Wayland. Finally I will be at the Harvard Square holiday market in Cambridge December 9-11.
