Coastal Collection
Hello everyone! Summer is in full effect and I have been enjoying it. I have been working a some new art centered around the theme of the New England Coast. A lot of the inspiration came from a vacation last year to Cape Cod and the Maine Coastline. I pulled together some new and old work that fit under this theme that I would love to share with you. All art is for sale in my shop.
Digital Illustrations
I have four new digital illustrations all inspired by lasts year trip. All prints are now available in three sizes now 5x7, 8x10, and 11x14, each print comes with the option of being matted making the total size 8x10, 11x14, and 16x20. The four new pieces are The light house, Harbor, Fishing Boat, and Sea coast. The light house piece I actually started was back last year in August, it was one of those pieces that never got finished and and slipped away till now. It was a collage of about 3 different light houses I saw. The Harbor, I snapped a photo of these boats on Martha’s Vineyard, it was early morning, the sea and sky were dull and moody. The sea coast was inspired by a costal hike in Maine, the sun was out and I really loved the contrast of all the blues from the sky and ocean and all the greens from the native plant life. Fishing Boat, My mom actually took this photo reference but I loved the boat and the red barn house, it felt so New England so I had to make into an illustration.
Block Prints
To go along with the digital illustrations I have some block prints as well. A few you have probably seen a couple of these prints before like the Seagull, Crab, and Lobster, All classic costal animals. These go great with an illustrated scene. In addition to those prints I have a puffin print which is a three block reduction print. This as never been on my shop before and I have a very limited supply. I also have an older print the ship and the whale, which is much more illustrate and narrative than my usual style of prints. It is on sale and I have just a couple more left! As always all of these prints are hand printed, and painted.
I hope you all enjoy your summer and I hope you like this collection of art, you can find all the prints in the shop here.
Thanks so much for all of your support and I hope some of you enjoy these new art pieces in your home!
Bryan.
