Late Spring Update

June 17, 2019 by Bryan Clocker in Travel, Photography

Hello Everyone I am back in Oregon! I made it back a week ago today! A little recap, from last post I traveled to Midland for the Celebration of the Arts. That show was great! It was good to see some artists I met last year that also as well as some of the locals! Midland has become one of my favorite shows. They are so supportive and kind!

After leaving Midland I made my way to The Grand Canyon National Park. Along the way I stopped at the Petrified Forest National Park, Walnut Canyon National Monument, and Flagstaff. When I arrived at the Grand Canyon it was snowing on and off and about 34 degrees. My first day I decided to ride the bus and watch the movies they had to stay warm. After a chilly night tent camping (it got down to around 20) I woke up and stood in front of the sun to warm me up. But the weather warmed up and I had a great day. I hiked 12 miles round trip down into the canyon to Plateau Point. The 3000ft climb was tough but I managed it pretty well.

After leaving the Grand Canyon I was on my way to Saint George, Utah but one of my tires blew out while driving. I had no service, but it was the best of a bad situation. I blew my tire just feet away from a ranch pull out so I was out of the road and I could put my spare tire on. I was also lucky enough to be close to Flagstaff and I was able to get new tires. I encourage everyone to know how to change a tire!!! It can save your life!

After my delay I made it to Saint George where I spent some time with my friends from college. We made multiple outings to Zion! We also took a weekend trip to Joshua Tree National Park. We had good weather and it wasn’t too hot, but that quickly changed and that meant it was time to head to Oregon. Our last stop was in Eden, Utah North East of the Salt lake area. We spent a couple days in the beautiful Ogden valley before parting ways.

I made it to Oregon just in time to celebrate mine and my brothers birthday. We are twins! It was great to be able to spend our day together.

I am now getting ready for my summer shows with my first show in Eugene, OR July4-6. All info for my shows can be found in the event tab.

Here are some photos from my trip up to Oregon. Starting with the Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Zion, Joshua Tree, lastly Eden, Utah.

I hope all of you have a great summer, and wherever you are stay safe! Ill be back shortly.

Bryan.

Happy world migratory bird day! Birds have always been a source of inspiration for me since I was just a little kid and continued through out my life. Here are just a few of the birds I’ve illustrated.
